I have been a shop steward for 19 years and became the senior shop steward in 2015. We have since 2015 re- invented the union team that I believe now really values its members. The union team has involved and informed its members in every aspect of the pay deals through the branch and shift meetings and its through these meetings, although not to everyone preference, we have achieved better than any other Premier site in terms of percentage pay rise in the 2nd year of 3%. We appreciate fully the support we have received from the membership and look forward to the future in representing  you all in all aspects of your working conditions.

I am the Branch Secretary for Spearpoint Branch S35, this role has enabled me to develop my skill set in both industrial relations and along with our other workplace reps to develop our branch in to a more functional branch, engaging with our members at all levels both on site and within the Region.

I've have been a night shift workplace organiser since 2013, I was previously a union rep earlier in my career and have experience in a managerial position at this site. I am now in a seasonal forklift trainers role which allows me to be a workplace organiser, without a conflict of interest. We have a family atmosphere on nights with strong working relationships between the union and the night shift management team, with the added advantage of all but one of our night shift junior management team all being members of the GMB
